Indignation: From the Latin indignacio, anger or scorn that is a reaction to injustice, ingratitude, or meanness; righteous anger. New World Dictionary of American English, Third Edition, 1988. The Free Dictionary has various definitions, including this one: “strong displeasure at something considered unjust, offensive, insulting, or base; righteous anger.”
Righteous anger. How many know what it means anymore? Do people have the capacity to recognize actual injustice? Not “mis-gendering” someone…Actual injustice against one or more individuals. Has righteous anger — indignation — been bred out? Or is it simply absent in the majority — until conditions make it trendy or “safe?”
“Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion — and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion…while truth again reverts to a new minority.” - Soren Kierkegaard, Danish philosopher, theologian, and culture critic
May 2020
I remember distinctly the moment my husband returned home and asked me if I’d seen the notice on the front door our of condo building. This was Friday, May 1, 2020. I was working from home. “What sign?” I asked. The sign about needing to wear a mask…Wear a mask…? In my own building?
The reaction was instantaneous. Rage. Fury. Indignation at the gall. How dare some elected freak tell me that my ability to move about Planet Earth requires that I breathe through a useless, dirty, bacteria-grabbing, blue plastic thing made in China or some useless, random piece of cloth strapped across my face! How disgraceful of our condo association for its plastering a sign on the front door of our homes declaring that we’d need a snot pouch to move about the “common areas.”
I. Don’t. Think. So.
Strong displeasure? I’ll say.
“We’re Outta Here!”
The very next day, Saturday, my husband and I began packing. We had the good fortune of having a place to go, a place to escape. We had plowed time and money into my husband’s family home, located in far northern New Hampshire, having purchased it following the passing of his father. I lamented at times the redirection of our hard-earned money toward paying for and sustaining the house, but the day came when we got our payoff for that — in spades.
On Sunday, hubs and I finished stuffing what we could into our two vehicles and drove north, never looking back. We fled out of indignation, our refusal to comply — not fear. Frankly, I was so pissed off I could hardly see straight, so maybe my husband was afraid of what “his girl” might do were we to stay put…I knew the mob would comply while also disallowing any deviation by those with the nerve to disobey…and I just wasn’t in the mood.
If you know northern New Hampshire, you know it is home to the famous White Mountains. We made it to those mountains and found some reprieve from the MA idiot — until, of course, the NH idiot enacted the same “mandate” in November 2020. (It’s November, Chris — you dope.) Despite their “mandates,” neither my husband nor I have ever worn a snot pouch. Never will.
My instantaneous feeling of needing an immediate escape reminded me of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. In the story, the angels tell Lot he must leave and flee to the mountains lest he and his wife and daughters be swept away in the coming destruction. I knew that ongoing obedience by the mob, this time in response to the idiots’ “mask mandates” meant its destruction. They didn’t, of course. They were too busy being good or afraid, but I knew in my bones that life as we had known it was now officially gone. MA and NH are, of course, still there, but whatever remnants of freedom in the “cradle of liberty” or the “Live Free or Die” state prior to Mar 2020 have been burned to the ground. And “the people” did the burning.
Where Have We Seen This Before?
In addition to the obviousness of the Covid® crime, the other part of this exhausting saga has been — for me — the complete absence of indignation. Rights trampled, commons sense abandoned, medical practice (such as it is) turned on its head. The utterly stupid (“Social distancing?”) somehow morphing into the sensible. Cowardice and perfunctory credulity turned from vices into virtues. Those questioning or standing in defense of liberty “shot down.”
Yet we’ve seen it before. I’ve said too many times to count that had the people of this country seen the official story of September 11 for what it was — an abject absurdity — this most recent crime by the usual suspects would have been impossible.
According to officials giving us an official story, hijackers took over four commercial airliners and flew them off course for over an hour without interference from the very people whose job it is to interfere. Nope. Not that day. Those hijackers even managed to fly interrupted into the Pentagon. At the time, still harboring the notion I lived in a serious country, I’d said that day that heads “are gonna roll.”
Silly me. No heads rolled — except for poor Ginny Buckingham’s. Instead the Fourth Amendment (among other things) got thrown out the window.
The official story — in addition to just being absurdly stupid — documents stunning criminal negligence. It puts in the historical record a failure of the United States and all of its responsible agencies, civilian and military, that should have caused multiple courts martial and firings up and down the line — and maybe even some jail time — and certainly some indignation on the part of “we, the people,” yes?
No.
Aside from cheering the illegal invasions of countries that had absolutely nothing to do with the attacks, here at home Americans got the U.S.A. P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act. That brought us warrantless searches. It got us surveillance. It got us back-scatter x-rays at airports or pat downs. Those responsible for the deadly failures told us that we must jettison our basic human rights in order to be made safe — by the very institutions and people that failed. In other words, we must endure crimes in order to address conditions laid bare by their failures.
I’m sorry — What? You guys screw up royally and we pay for it? Is this a joke?
Sadly, no, and even more sadly as George Carlin told us years ago, “Nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care.”
Did Americans express indignation at these egregious assaults on their liberties? No. They cooperated. They smiled, glad that the Fourth Amendment got chucked out the window so they could feel “safe.” No indignation at the very notion that the most epic failure by any government (let alone the “world’s lone superpower”) to protect its people should result in the people having their basic human rights stripped.
“You failed, federal government. We didn’t. You failed, U.S. military. We didn’t. You failed FAA. We didn’t. But now we get surveilled? Now we take our shoes off to board a flight? Now we undergo warrantless searches — just because? We get back-scatter x-rayed? Patted down? Your failures? Our price to pay?
Seems so.
So when the official Covid® story and crime were being rolled out, I knew exactly how it would play out. Complete absence of indignation over a criminal response to a medical challenge — Wait a minute…We have a possible severe influenza-like illness that somehow has doctors flummoxed. This means that officials need to commit crimes to meet this challenge?
HUH? Well, it worked before in “America.” And officials sure could count on it working again.
Indignation? Righteous anger? Incredulity? Refusal to comply?
Nope.
Almost complete cooperation. Here and there we heard about the outliers — those committed to American ideals with the courage to stand up for them. For example, Tony Roman out in Huntington Beach, CA, and his restaurant, Basilico’s Pasta e Vino. To my knowledge, Tony never closed his restaurant or complied with a single “guideline” that came out of the back end of that state’s governor and all of his “public health” bureaucrats.
In a 2020 PooTube interview by Patrick Coffin at Basilico’s (PooTube eventually took Coffin’s channel down), Tony shared that he’d created a new website, www.makerestaurantsgreatagain.com, where he called on restaurant owners and other small businesses to join him in his defiance of the “tiny tyrants.” He offered help on how to stay open, defy the mask orders, etc. Tony asked Patrick to guess how many people he’d heard from. I forget how Patrick responded, but I’ll always remember what Tony said:
“Zero.”
Since then, Tony has said that business owners have contacted him, but to his knowledge none have followed through on his advice for resisting. Here he is in July 2021 talking about his ongoing resistance.
He mentions being subjected to an undercover operation. An undercover operation because a business stayed open when lowlife traitors demanded that it close. Because? Respiratory infection. Scum — and this includes many of “we, the people” — demanded that Tony shut down a business that he built via his employment of local builders and contractors to actually build it. Shut down a business that helps keep food service and liquor supply businesses operational. Shut down a business that employs people who depend on their salaries and tips. Shut down a business that pays taxes to pay for the uniformed thugs who carry out an undercover operation against a fellow American. Because. Respiratory infection.
Was there probable cause? Oh, that’s right. See above on how probable cause went out the window 20 years ago to the cheers of the “American” people.
And the police expect our support?
I love the Brownstone Institute. I especially appreciate Jeffrey Tucker, its founder, who writes so beautifully and inspirationally about life and liberty. Yesterday an article published there came into my Inbox: “Where Have the Voices for Liberty Gone?” Of course, the writer makes excellent points, but where has he been??
Without knowing his age, was he simply too young in 2001 to notice or care about the obvious fraud of that year’s epic story? Was he busy elsewhere to notice or care about the U.S.A. P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act? The defenestration of due process, probable cause, and a host of other basic human rights?
The writer, Michael Lesher, omits any mention of the dismantling of Constitutional protections 20 years ago following that horrific event or the insouciance — and worse — of the “American” people in the face of the government’s criminal response to its failure. He wonders where the voices for liberty have been over the last three years? Some of us have been asking that question for decades.
So. How does a nation founded on ideals of human freedom survive if its inhabitants lack a fundamental commitment to those ideals? What if the majority lacks the character and courage to defend freedom — come what may? How does freedom flourish if people lack the ability to tell — or care — when it’s being abolished right in front of them? How does a nation survive an inability to recognize injustice or worse — celebrates it? With a nation comprising a majority such as this, is indignation even possible?
We have seen what the majority’s preference for obedience and indulgence in cowardice begets — even in “the shining city on a hill”. It wrecks a nation. It disgraces it. It declares the nation open for takeover. It emboldens the worst among us. Worse than that, though, is that ultimately it eats away at the souls of the obedient and craven — whether they know it or not. Maybe that explains why some are so cranky in the face of those who refuse to comply or back down. They’re not really afraid as much as they are enraged by our courage. How dare we?? In this case, we had the courage to face the chance of coming down with a severe respiratory infection. We had the courage to defy, to stand for our freedom and theirs, and they hate us for it.
All of this leaves only that minority that Kierkegaard highlights. The relative few in this country who stood their ground, stood for freedom in their own way, in ways large and small who lived out an unshakable “opinion” on the value of freedom. We will be the ones that history will remember and the ones that the majority will join when the truth of our position becomes impossible to ignore.
“A man who does not have something for which he is willing to die is not fit to live.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
Unfortunately, far too many Americans still live far too well, and the consequence of that comfort is that they just really don’t give a shit. There are many other factors involved of course. We must also understand that America is a Christian nation from our Founding era; that is beyond a doubt. That religious foundation is being torn down by the other major world religion, which is, of course, Marxism. Most people are not even aware that Marxism is a religion, NOT an economic philosophy. that fundamental lack of understanding is by itself is a huge problem. We have allowed the Marxist religion to attack us at all levels and in an all places - not just in our schools, arts, media, entertainment and courts, but we’ve allowed them to infest and infect our churches. Proof of this is it there is not a peep of opposition from what we call “churches“ and certainly not from the “ministers, pastors, priests”. They are as useless as they are pathetic and apathetic. In fact, far too many of them are openly supportive of what’s happening.
Couple of this with human nature, some 80 to 85% of the people in any era, at any time would literally rather die than have to make a decision for themselves, based on principle, stick to it, much less to fight for it. They would rather follow the crowd, be obedient and especially to feel ‘safe’ 🤣. On this point there can be absolutely no debate, because all historical experience has demonstrated this to be true. It is also obvious that every totalitarian throughout history has been keenly aware of that fact, and has always exploited that fact to their advantage.
So what will happen? When the smaller percentage of Americans, the real Americans, who actually have principles and are willing to defend their principles, are finally pushed too hard we will fight back. That time will come. We are well beyond the point of avoiding that sort of an outcome. How will it turn out? I’m not optimistic.
Finally, I’d like to point out the utter uselessness of “conservatives“. The problem with “conservatives“, or with “conservatism“ in general is that they can never define what it is they are trying to conserve, and they have no core set of beliefs that they’re willing to fight for. All I’ve seen in my life from “conservatives“ is that they are simply trying to “draw the line” wherever it happens to be at any given point in time, to simply maintain the status quo, and that status quo is constantly being redefined by the Marxist left. This lack of a core belief system, and a lack of willingness to stand up and fight is why “conservatives” are useless. What we need are Americanist and nationalists who are willing to put our freedoms in our core values first and foremost and fight, to maintain them, and to never compromise going forward.
At this point, I'm not sure if it can survive. At most, 2% of the population are critically-thinking people, and that's being generous.
"Righteous anger. How many know what it means anymore? Do people have the capacity to recognize actual injustice?" Not many. It appears that a small group of people are immune to the psychological operation crap, mainly because we see it as obvious and utterly stupid.
I moved from Kauai, Hawaii to Florida in 2021. Kauai was the last county in Hawaii to drop their mask mandate - the last county in the COUNTRY. The ignorance and stupidity is out-of-this-world. Just say "for the greater good", and you can get the masses to do anything, including damaging their own immune systems.
I knew covid was corruption and fraud very early on. I found warriors like Mike Yeadon, Dr. Zelenko, Dr. McCoulough and many others early. I was able to advise intelligent neighbors who are still un-jabbed today. However, there was a group of neighbors that disowned me because I was sounding the warning bell and would not comply. My neighbor, a "doctor" at a local hospital, told me that he would not give Hydroxychloroquine to his parents. I had it in stock in our medicine cabinet. A number of other neighbors would "visit" - staying out in the carport, with a mask, and insisted on social distancing. Not one of the maskers/PCR folks would listen to a word I said. They are all multiple jabbed.
Speaking of jabs, Sasha Latypova and Katherine Watt did a great interview today:

These two warrior women are getting the word out. Note that they both state clearly that they are not afraid - they are pissed off ( righteous anger ) and concerned for their children. Something's gonna crack - it may be Florida; I hope DeSantis knows the whole story - the shots are countermeasures; the operation is run by the DOD and HHS. To the main point of your article, where are all the men??? Why won't a single "governor" or SG stop the kill shots??? How about an attorney with guts???
Thanks for a great post. We are watching the worst parts of history being repeated by very, very stupid people. The most frustrating part is that 98% of the public is clueless.
Peace.
