What makes the most sense to me is that local should be at the top of the hierarchy. State next, and Federal at the bottom. It seems insane to me that local government can decide to do one thing, and some bureaucrat 2500 miles distant in the capital of the empire can tell the locals no, you can't do that. That is not democracy, it's tyranny.
However, we let ourselves get into this mess, we let the federal government become all powerful where it can tell state and local governments what to do and what not to do. I believe this is the exact opposite of what the founders of the US had in mind. They wanted a very limited federal government such that most of the powers of government would reside at the state level or with the people. Civil War changed all that. Slavery was the pretense, but the result was that we are now an empire and we are ruled from the capital of the empire. Ugh!
Appreciate this comment, pimaCanyon, especially your point about the Civil War. Slavery did become the pretense for the justification of this horrific war against secession. How completely ironic that Lincoln and others contended that secession was unlawful...and were willing to kill hundreds of thousands over it.
yes. The bloody battles themselves were some of the worst war battles ever fought, but that pales in comparison to Sherman's march to the sea and what he and his troops did to civilians along the way.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. We've been under attack from our gov't for years. The PREP Act protects these corrupted/evil corporations, along with gov't agencies. btw - ALL vaccines are unsafe & toxic. In GOD we Trust ...
Thanks for sharing these cases. I didn’t know about them. I’m sick to my stomach for both cases. Both cases used the law to manipulate the outcome to what the govt wanted. The new jerck building - I hope it burns to the ground with a lightning bolt right through the middle. The only other thing that comes to mind is profanity because I am so very sick of this. I’ll leave it at that.
"I hope it burns to the ground with a lightning bolt right through the middle." 🤣🤣🤣
The new "jerck" building. Another good one. You're on a roll, Sunnydaze.
When I told hubs about the North Carolina ruling followed by the announcement of the $1 billion dollar "jerck" vaccine manufacturing plant? In Durham, North Carolina? You wanna hear some profanity? 🤣
Thank you SheThinksLiberty - I was unaware of the legal cases you call out. The rulings are sickening, but, as you are well aware, our "fellow Americans" are extremely ignorant and possess zero critical-thinking skills. Once a "fellow American" adopts an ideological position, such as the belief that "vaccines" do anything but harm people, it's all over.
My dear brother grew up and lives in Massachusetts. As of this writing, he has received every single mRNA shot and booster that has been offered. It's mind-boggling. I have another relative who also lives in Massachusetts, who is a pharmacist; she too has received every single shot, while her two sisters have received zero. Just like all the history books point out, it's the "most advanced" societies that end up having a shocking disregard for human life and liberty.
I so look forward to reading your posts - thank you! I don't do any social media so I will not be seeing you on X.
The rulings certainly are sickening, Steve. That New York State law??? So utterly egregious I can hardly stand it. Purposeful attack against religion and religious expression -- and a federal court agrees with it???????
I do hope your dear brother and other relative who've subjected themselves to these shots fare well, Steve.
No worries re social media. I don't really do it either...The one account I'd had, LinkedIn, for professional reasons I just got locked out of again. This time I decided I had no interest in finding out whose feelings I hurt or what "professional whatever" I may have violated.
So, after a while, with hub's prompting, I created an "X" account. So I'm on there being my snarky self. :)
Thank you SheThinksLiberty. I believe X is a decent platform today. During the covid psy-op, I utilized Telegram and communicated with quite a few like-minded people. The “legal” cases you have highlighted are truly shocking - protect yourself at all times. Thanks and have a peaceful day.
If the Federal Constitution doesn’t specifically grant the authority in question to the federal government then we look to the States Constitution, if the States Constitution doesn’t specifically grant said authority to the State then it is reserved to the people.
All authority in government comes from the People.
State and Federal government has created their own corporate bodies to conduct their business through which business would be unconstitutional for the actual governments, State and Federal. All social security Administration created entities are also corporate and subject to the regulation and taxation of the creator, constitutional or not. What does this have to do with the People? Absolutely nothing, to the People who know the difference. Others might just consider themselves as subjects.
If you don’t know who you are or what your rights are just consider the fact that you don’t have any.
This is the reason the Tenth Amendment Center consistently discusses nullification. Nullification by the people -- who can only nullify through their conduct when they. as you say, know their rights.
The United States Constitution grants limited powers to the federal government. Power over health issues and education are not among those powers. By the Tenth Amendment those powers are reserved to the states and the people. All laws, whether federal, state or local, must be in accordance with the Constitution. In the case involving Merck the federal government has no authority. In the case of the Amish schools in New York the state cannot deny the Amish the free exercise of their religious beliefs. Both cases could be settled quickly if only judges knew and understood the simple language of our federal Constitution.
I am not surprised at the contradictions. Our courts do not seem to use the Constitution to make rulings. Those judges that go outside the parameters to rule their ideology should be investigated and impeached if this is proven.
A follow-up comment here SheThinksLiberty. During the covid fraud, I was living in Kauai, Hawaii ( an ideological center of covid madness - the last county in the US to remove mask "mandates" near the end of 2022 ) and had to deal with the illegal lockdowns and highway checks, etc., ( yes, you could go to Costco and then directly back home; no detours - yes, they roadblocked the entire main highway leading to Lihue where Walmart and Costco are located.) - it was pure ideological madness with a strong communist theme.
But where did all the madness begin? Diana West knows the answer. When I was locked down, I grabbed the book at the top of my reading stack: "American Betrayal". A TRUE history lesson. The book explains the real and true history of WW2 and the betrayal of our nation - a state that still exists today.
Diana West was a very popular syndicated columnist back in the day. She was attacked by subversive forces when her book was published in 2013. The attacks continue to this day - her excellent web site, dianawest.net - just disappeared recently.
Have no fear, Diana West has joined SubStack. Here is a link to her latest column that features links to an extensive interview Diana did after the publication of "American Betrayal".
In my opinion, a person truly does not know much about history until they read "American Betrayal" - it should be required reading for all Americans. If one wants to understand the source of the madness that we witness on a daily basis, they can get the answer in "American Betrayal".
Thanks for all the great columns! Have a peaceful day!
Brilliant!!!

Bloodiest, ugliest war in our history.
Yes...horrific. Absolutely horrific.
To preserve the Union and receive God's blessings...doncha know?

That is exactly what hubs said.
