Ironically, my "one law" is the same as gatos -- automatic sunsetting of current laws after 10 years. Keep the politicians busy with "old" stuff so they don't have time for "new" stuff.
Axing the 17th would be a great start, but I'm sort of old school with END THE FED.
I went to several "End the Fed" protests, including one on a frigid morning in Boston that I'll remember for a very long time because it was so freaking cold! But we were there anyway!
I used to have a red-inked "End the Fed" stamp that I used to stamp those words on federal reserve notes. I used it so long and so often the pad fell apart! LOL!
I love your thoughts on the cabinets. I am sick of the army of rule makers in cabinets ruling over us as unelected tyrants. As a farmer they levy laws by calling a creek that is small enough to jump over, a “navigable waterway” on farmland so they can take the surrounding land. They prevent the use of your own land by saying they are protecting the water. Why wouldn’t a farmer want to protect the water on their own? There are many more laws like this.
Get rid of the Patriot Act. Get rid of Federal Reserve Act & 16th Amendment. Also, have all elected representatives stay in the capital cities of their respective states and meet by teleconference. Thereby allowing any constituents to come and visit.
So elected U.S. representatives (vs. those elected at the State level) would go to their States' capital city and meet with their counterparts via teleconference? Vs. meeting in person in the swamp?
Agree with getting rid of the U.S.A. P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act, the "Fed", and the 16th Amendment. ❤️
Those dirty lifers would have to look people in the eyes while passing porkly legislation that lines their own pockets and steals the money right out of our pockets.
Exactly. A watched pot never boils (over)! That’s what I say. Plus just think that you the constituent can pop in any old time and check up on YOUR employee. Make sure they’re doing what they’re hired to be doing. Nothing more nothing less. That’s accountability. We can even mandate, since We the People can do it, cameras in every room streaming 24/7 all the goings on of our employees. They are accountable to Us and should be held in such standing.
They need to live with the people they "represent" and their kids need to go to the same schools as their constituents. And, it would NOT be a full time job.
I love your thinking. Many of us are on the same boat yet don’t know how to get things set up this way. When the Founders wrote our Constitution they made everything easy to understand by the common person. Nowadays you hear people ask “can we do that?“ and the answer is yes! We the People are the ones who have given the government their powers. We have assigned what the government can and cannot do. It’s the what can I do/is it against the law mindset that trips people up. They truly do not know what their Rights are. They think, mistakenly, that a lawyer must tell them what the Constitution says and means. That is the brain lock we are in the midst of breaking. Let’s keep hammering the fukkers!
Great post. ALL agencies would go. Simpler systems always work best and cut fraud and corruption. Everyone in DC is very corrupt. I would arrest them all. I'm in the Anne Barnhardt camp:
What politicians do you support?
None. They are all psychopaths and whores. ALL OF THEM. The culture has degraded such that seeking and/or holding office, especially national-level office, is, in and of itself, proof that a given person is psychologically and morally unfit to hold public office.
I agree...Allowing for the rare exception (Ron Paul?), I too concluded very much the same thing, but it's the agencies within all those "cabinets" with their own freaks, whores, and psychopaths that are our hidden enemy. HHS is a prime example where via the PREP Act (crafted by who-the-hell-knows-who and passed by those corrupt idiots 😊) and 42. U.S.C. §247d "Public Health" "Emergencies", that enables -- under color of law -- the Secretary of HHS to essentially run the U.S.
I agree SheThinksLiberty - excellent point about Ron Paul - he's a keeper. Great documentary coming out through CHD:
The surviving generation of the Holocaust sounds the alarm on the weaponization of medicine. Is history repeating itself? Vera Sharav, Holocaust survivor + human rights activist, directs this gripping 5-part docuseries
And this is connected to technocracy ( you can't make this stuff up ):
I would get rid of the automatic withholding tax! I would hope that this would sort things out with people's outrage. But, then again, many people don't pay income tax and are freeloaders. This would have to go hand in hand with welfare reform. Actively seeking employment and no free rides. Imagine that! Milton Friedman was behind this horrible "thing". It is said that by making taxes relatively invisible and making paying them relatively painless, Friedman paved the way for the current status quo, in which significant portions of salaried workers' incomes are handed over to state and federal governments without much fuss. Tax refunds, which feel like a delightful windfall to those who receive them, complicate the matter further by making many Americans feel like they are getting a gift on tax day, rather than giving their hard-earned money to the government under threat of violence.
I don't know enough of the tax laws to answer well, but I would get rid of ridiculous exemptions, maybe a flat tax, tax income equal to other types of income. Intensely review federal budget & slash it down to a nub, thereby reducing everyone's tax. No deficit spending. No budget ceiling raising. Eliminate national debt. Make those single simple laws & get rid of all the other ones. Make it simple. Base it on a family's budget, in spirit & means.

Ah, yes! End the Fed! That's a good one!

Yes! This is precisely the sort of depravity and freedom-destroying crap I'm talking about! 😊 They gotta go! They have got to go.

Yes. That way We can keep our eyes on them. Less opportunity to engage in nonsense. It's a dream I had

I met Patrick Wood and Reimer Fullmich at a get-together near Tampa last year; good people.
Thanks for the great posts! Peace.
