That was a great example of what is happening. The audience sits. Does nothing. Says nothing. Is okay with the man being physically removed from this elite dog and pony show. Temper our expectations is exactly right. Brainwashed, intellectually lazy people are hard to wake up. They prefer the snooze button or better yet, resetting the alarm to another day.
I kept hearing people would stand up, finally, when they came after our kids. Sorry, but nope. Sure, a few did. Moms and dads are starting to wake up. But, they came for our kids with the the masks, the school closures, the vaxxes, the drag shows, pedophilia, sex traffickers with the border, Disney, Netflix, and the internet….and we have sat there just like the audience. They came for our kids and the majority have let them be taken emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, visually, verbally, and the list goes on. We are a compliant audience with nothing to say.
When will we stand up like that guy and stop being afraid of causing or getting in a little trouble.
Amen! OMG, they all just sit there. I wonder what would have happened if just one other random person stood up with him and said "Yeah, we wanna know!". Temper expectations is right. Better to expect the worst, that way we surely won't be disappointed. You can quote and postulate all you want...but the truth is in the action. Or inaction. The exact representation is correct and shameful.
Yes. They just sat there. A room full of journalists and students of journalism just sat there. Sat there when someone asked direct questions to those that represent the profession they're in or aspire to. I mean, you just can't make this crap up...There it was -- appalling visual evidence of cowardice and compliance. The actual state of "American" media.
The actual state of America. Not just the media. People spectate all the atrocities going on right on their front lawn. And just sit there. Hacks. Humans are hackable right now, through their tiny little non-critical thinking brains. Harrari is correct in that statement!
Yes. I was making the point re journalism in that comment because of the audience and the (ironic) location of the event -- an Ivy League school of journalism -- but it applies to the whole country; it is the actual state of America.
Indeed, it is, the truth does always lie with the minority, never with the majority. It is also true that the majority of people will simply, obediently, and passively do what they’re told when they’re told to do it. This is an unavoidable feature of the human characteristic. It’s also a feature that is fully understood and exploited by every totalitarian throughout all human history. So don’t waste your time on trying to convert the majority, do as God instructed Isaiah - to focus on the “remnant“, the people who are indeed reachable. They are the only ones who are worth it anyways; the only ones who count. I have completely stopped trying to convince, preach to, explain things to the rest because it has been my experience 100% of the time that it does not work. It has been a 100% waste of my time trying to reach those people.
Yup! I know that feeling exactly. That’s the problem. That’s why we are really only reaching out to the “remnant” as they are the only ones will actually do something about it.
Excellent point! "So don’t waste your time on trying to convert the majority, do as God instructed Isaiah - to focus on the “remnant“, the people who are indeed reachable" I learned that lesson the hard way early during the plandemic.
Indeed. Don’t waste your breath or your time on “the masses” and those people, and we all know them personally, who for whatever reason or reasons simply will not think at all, certainly not for themselves.
That was powerful but sad to watch because all it would have taken was 3 more individuals to stand up and demand something better from them, which would have changed their talking points and narrative for that discussion. Yet, there, they all sit, laugh, chuckle and gripe because that's all they know to do and nothing else is expected of them. Bravo, Sir for trying to get into some good trouble... :-)
Right? Even if just one person -- one person out of that whole room -- said, "Whoa...hold on here. Mr. Vega has a point." Yet out of that whole room we witness silent cooperation amidst a few loud censorious voices. These voices would rather see their fellow American removed than stand in support of having his questions answered.
That whole "Wait your turn!" sputum? Made my head explode.
It's a perfect repeat of history. Solzhenitsyn’s "The Gulag Archipelago" says the exact same thing. If just a few neighbors had teamed up and killed a few of the communists, the outcome would have been much different. Very weak and sick minds. Anything "collective" destroys life, but progressives will never stop trying to implement systems that will always fail. Peace.
In your other comment, you mentioned the Germans, but the audience's behavior reminded me more of the behavior Solzhenitsyn called out...that if just a few had decided to act how different things could have been...
It's all quite new to me. In 2019 I looked up at the Hawaii sky at night and said a prayer. In the prayer, I asked God to teach me what the term "human nature" meant, because I never really understood the term, not wishing for negative things to happen to my fellow man. Wow - has my prayer been answered in the last three years or what? I think things will be different - it obviously will be the very few speaking the truth that will make the difference. May there be peace on earth.
Wow. "That audience? That audience is the country. Do what you’re told. Wait your turn." Exactly. Just like Nazi Germany. EVERYONE else in the room is a coward. Zero critical-thinking in the room except for Mr. Vega. Columbia "University" and the word journalism should never be used in the same sentence together. The school is an utter trash heap of marxist and communist thought, along with a very healthy dose today of fascism. Protect yourselves at all times - the audience IS the country - amazingly stupid in the purest Bonhoeffer sense. Thank you SheThinksLiberty. May there be peace on earth.

It is good to get into good trouble for all the right reasons -- like Mr. Vega did.
Amen! OMG, they all just sit there. I wonder what would have happened if just one other random person stood up with him and said "Yeah, we wanna know!". Temper expectations is right. Thank you for mentioning the "remnant," Stan. I was going to...Yes, the ones who are reachable and teachable...
My pleasure!
Corrected...My apologies.
LOL! The most common name I’m called is ‘Steve’!
I have had some success with reaching people. But almost NO success with getting them to do something about it.
Yup! I know that feeling exactly. That’s the problem. That’s why we are really only reaching out to the “remnant” as they are the only ones will actually do something about it.

Thanks for that! We have all known, deep down there would be no savior. The complacency is disgusting.

3 "Routine" Response Flows,
To (New) Truth:
1. Initially sneered at & ridiculed. Scoffed & laughed-at, all-too-"knowingly, by The Knowers." (Few followers of new Truth).
2. (As interest & followers are gained)... Violent Opposition is enacted against tellers of Truth.
3. (When New Truth is NOW PROVEN)...Well... previous "knowers" state "yes yes, its time has come, we knew it all along."
