Video: "I'm Just Trying to Get Into Some Good Trouble Here, man."
At Ivy League Columbia University's School of Journalism, one man stands up -- while the audience sits...
Watch Mr. José Vega challenge the vaunted editors of some of America’s (alleged) best newspapers. He displays some serious cahones. More importantly, watch the audience. Just over three minutes; link below thumbnail:
“I’m just trying to get into some good trouble here, man.”
So. The audience. “Wait your turn!” exclaims one man. That’s right, Mr. Vega. We couldn’t care less if what you’re saying is true and needs saying out loud. G-damn it. Wait. Your. Turn.
Most sit mutely while others raise their voices in consternation against Mr. Vega’s “impertinence.” By extension, they all sit in support of the mouthpieces who lied, covered up, censored, and aided and abetted the destruction of human rights and the lives of uncountable numbers of people. Why, Vega, you impolite cretin. Wait. Your. Turn.
That Audience is the Country
That audience? That audience is the country. Do what you’re told. Wait your turn. Stand on those painted-on shoes. Follow the arrows. Follow “TheScience™”. Follow the orders of your betters.
Mr. Vega, comparatively speaking, is the minority in this country. The minority that said, “No.” That asked questions, defended freedom, and got hauled out of the room, as it were, for their trouble.
I don’t know who Mr. Vega is. He might be a complete jerk on everything else, but here, he gets it right. In a room full of people in a vaunted school of journalism, he asked the right questions — and not one person — not one — says, “Hey, he’s right. Can we talk about this?”
Temper Your Expectations
A word of (unsolicited) advice, especially for those who hope to “wake up” people — guard your hearts and temper your expectations. That audience represents the vast majority in this country. When it had a chance to demonstrate true allegiance — just by saying, “No,” — they sat politely, complied, shamed others, and awaited further instructions.
Certainly try, but remember, it is always a minority that changes things. Let go of your expectations (if you have them) that you’ll convert a meaningful number by delivering to “the masses” the factually obvious or provable or that which is moral and just. You won’t.
Forge ahead anyway. Tell the truth. Find your tribe. Take encouragement and sustenance from it. Just pace yourself and expect to be Mr. Vega more often than not.
“Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion — and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion… while truth again reverts to a new minority.” - Soren Kierkegaard
That was a great example of what is happening. The audience sits. Does nothing. Says nothing. Is okay with the man being physically removed from this elite dog and pony show. Temper our expectations is exactly right. Brainwashed, intellectually lazy people are hard to wake up. They prefer the snooze button or better yet, resetting the alarm to another day.
I kept hearing people would stand up, finally, when they came after our kids. Sorry, but nope. Sure, a few did. Moms and dads are starting to wake up. But, they came for our kids with the the masks, the school closures, the vaxxes, the drag shows, pedophilia, sex traffickers with the border, Disney, Netflix, and the internet….and we have sat there just like the audience. They came for our kids and the majority have let them be taken emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, visually, verbally, and the list goes on. We are a compliant audience with nothing to say.
When will we stand up like that guy and stop being afraid of causing or getting in a little trouble.
Indeed, it is, the truth does always lie with the minority, never with the majority. It is also true that the majority of people will simply, obediently, and passively do what they’re told when they’re told to do it. This is an unavoidable feature of the human characteristic. It’s also a feature that is fully understood and exploited by every totalitarian throughout all human history. So don’t waste your time on trying to convert the majority, do as God instructed Isaiah - to focus on the “remnant“, the people who are indeed reachable. They are the only ones who are worth it anyways; the only ones who count. I have completely stopped trying to convince, preach to, explain things to the rest because it has been my experience 100% of the time that it does not work. It has been a 100% waste of my time trying to reach those people.
