As a European I don't understand the connection between the words of the song, and all the pictures of Donald Trump. Is this guy being held up as some kind of christian saint who's going to save America from the tyranny of the corporate-banking-BigPharma-military-industrial-complex that's currently screwing the entire world?
If he does I'm in favour, because I'm sure fed up with America's military meddling blowing up countries all around us in the Middle East and North Africa decade-after-decade, and causing an avalanche of desperate refugees clamouring on our shores. Perhaps Trump will have the decency to take in millions of them; after all, America caused all this with their constant war-mongering. However, his comments on 'the wall' and the southern Border with Mexico don't suggest he will.
I'm with you 100%, Joshua, on the U.S.'s constant war mongering and murdering around the world. I have for decades called that thing in D.C. the world's largest and deadliest organized crime syndicate -- and I mean it. Utterly horrific.
As for this song and the images of Trump, I took it this way. First, I believe in the "heavenly realm" and in God. I have had my own experience with the miraculous -- not as serious as near death -- but miraculous. At the time it happened and now, I chalk it up as completely miraculous and something that, if it had not happened, may have affected me badly -- very badly. Decades later and I still shake my head. So, that's part of the connection for me. My own experience with what I believe was a miracle, which leads me to Trump.
Secondly, whatever one thinks of Donald Trump -- and I have many issues with him -- I think that this attempt on his life was horrific. The fact that this was so close to actually killing him, but wasn't, is a miracle. Three other people paid a very high price for this -- one with his life.
At an early age, my father said to me words I've taken with me my whole life, "Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one, Kathleen." No truer words...At any moment our lives can be taken from us. Sometimes we come so close that we think we should be gone, but we're not. Presumptive, I know, but I think that that's what Donald Trump is likely thinking, as are many Americans.
All that said, I will keep a very wary eye on him as who's to know how this may affect him. As I said in my post yesterday, whatever happened, things are ripe for those who want to strip yet more freedoms from us to do so. I just hope it's not DJT who does because he believes God saved him. I hope it has the opposite effect. I hope it enables him to see just how disgusting, effed up, and criminal is the "swamp." He threatened to drain it the first time; damn, if he wins, he better do it this time.
I hope this helps, and I appreciate your comment and questions, Joshua.
Kathleen and Joshua, both beautiful comments from the heart. I too feel this way and am tired of the form of nationalism that believes anything and everything the US does is right, simply because it IS the US. I am Canadian (and very scared for my own country) but I have two American friends who seem to think the entire world exists within the borders of the US, and it can do no wrong.
Thank you! I have shaken my head, hung my head for decades over the "foreign policy" of the crime syndicate. The shame I feel for the heartache, destruction, and murder imposed on uncountable millions is hard to describe -- and, of course, falls on deaf ears here in "the land of the free and home of the brave."
I think the karma headed this way will knock this country for a loop and will catch the vast majority completely by surprise. As I've said to my husband for years, "They will have no idea what's hit 'em...or why."
The awareness required for the recognition of the crime syndicate's crimes and moral courage needed for atonement -- the only thing that can redirect karma -- lay beyond most people in this country. Sad to say...
You're not wrong to feel that way. I'm a Veteran of the US Marines, and I'll be the first to admit it. The government needs reform, and restructuring. It's become over-sized, due to overeating. The level of corruption and greed is astounding, abominable. They lie to us on the daily, while they destroy and consume everthing within reach. Trump is the solution. The best option, anyways. I've followed him for some time now. You see, I'm an INFJ empathy, sigma, and have this strange sense. It has never steered me wrong. Ever. It speaks to me all the time, and it tells me Trump is genuine. A genuine ass at times, but nevertheless true. If he were a fake, I'd know. He hasn't demonstrated it thus far, and is the only chance you, Canada, the United States of America, or the World has at stopping this global garbage truck from steamrolling us into the ground, considering the time we have. He can either be remembered as one of the greatest Champions of Liberty, or not remembered at all. With his ego, and his heart, I think it's only obvious. God Bless You.
That was so great. Thank you for sharing. I looked at Hubs as we were watching last night and said "It almost feels like we have hope, for the first time in a long time." And, always the lead to my balloon, he actually agreed with me. I guess sitting off the coast of Iran during the hostage crisis tends to make one more of a pessimist. We never watch politics or conventions, but the time we made to watch the parts we did of this one? We are not sorry! In the hands of God is right!♥♥
Yes. Freedom and liberty! My daughter is going to 'unschool' her kids from now on, ages 9,7 and 5. We have been thinking about this and now realize how freeing it is to NOT be under the thumb of the school system. I started to think about how families schedule their lives around a government funded school entity that controls their weekends, their weeks, their summers and winters, it says when they can take a break and when they have to sit in a classroom and 'learn' what they are fed or fail....even if they are a fish, they are told they have to climb a tree like a monkey. It steals the right of individuality. The human right to be ourselves. The human right to figure out who you are with the help of those who love you and no a huge arm of the Hydra-Fed. It was with dread that she was looking towards the school year and arranging their lives to satisfy the school system. How freeing it is to know that burden, that cloud, that ever-reaching arm is now lifted and they are free. She is going to let those kids learn how is best for each of them and she will be there, or we will be there. Zoos, travel, etc. One example is a kid who was unschooled and got interested in bamboo and the baskets. Then he looked up Japan. He took a language course on Japanese and became fluent and moved to Japan.
In Germany, it's illegal not to send your kids to school (a rule instigated by Hitler originally, and still in force - unless you have very special dispensation); you'd otherwise be prosecuted, fined, and if you still don't comply, maybe jailed and possibly have your children taken away. Not surprisingly, few parents push it that far. They just move to other countries (like Portugal where I live) and home-school their children; or live as digital nomads wherever.
Wow. Just wow. We don't realize how important our HUMAN rights are...everywhere. That is just so dark. We truly underestimate the value of this basic human right of parenting our own children and knowing what is best for them. America takes the freedom for granted, and I pray the last 4 years have been a wake up call to those who think we are 'free'.
My wife is German originally - school system there (& in Switzerland) is why she moved to the U.K (where we met!). At the time at least (1980s/90s), the UK took a relaxed line regarding children having to attend school. (Home-schooling & parents' initiatives, no problem. Going on holiday during term time, no problem). All of them doing well - but I'm worried about the grand-children now, aged 2-9.
I get that. But really, WHO has the authority to tell us what we can and can’t do with our own kids? Nobody. Sheesh. This is all getting ridiculous and it needs to fall. I miss the Europe and the UK of the 80’s. Remember crossing actual borders and having to exchange your money or you could not get a hotel? Before credit cards became everyday stuff.
While it features Trump given recent events, I think we can all probably place ourselves in his shoes, remembering a time when we ourselves escaped death or tragedy only by the Grace of God...

So kind. So patient. God Blesses you.
Interesting. I am an INTJ...:)
Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging words, Thomas. May God bless you, as well.

A virtual hug 🤗 from me. Your words are always spot-on (and beautiful). They calm my soul.
How lovely! Thank you. Your words means so much.
That virtual hug right back at you, StarlightEx_press.
Beautiful song to start my day. Enjoy yours.

You're welcome! I have my issues with DJT as President, but as a human being? That someone or several someones would try to murder him????
That the attempt missed killing him by millimeters has convinced lots of people, including DJT, that that moment was certainly in the hands of God.
God intends us to be free and brave. Damn it, more people need to start acting like they believe it.

Everything you said, but especially this, "...with the help of those who love you..."
𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕.

They're inherent, our basic rights. God given. HE Giveth and Taketh. Noone else. Live free, love, and procreate. Everything else is extra.
Remember that.
100%. God.
Very, very good! Thanks "She Thinks Liberty"!

Thank you so much for this beautiful tribute to your President Trump. He is President of America but gives hope to us all…
Thank you, MoonlitNight. I'm glad you enjoyed.
It is a tribute to President Trump, but I think many of us can relate to having experienced "divine intervention" in our own lives. I know I have.
I omitted saying that as part of the post -- maybe I should have because some might interpret it as a political ad for Trump. LOL.
I think a post script is in order ☺️
Thank you for commenting, StarlightEx_Press. I just made an edit to the post.
I am moonlitnight but must be logged on differently on my phone.
Beautiful!
